STUDENT POLICIES & PROCEDURES

South Avionics Training Center (SATC) is committed to providing students with clear and consistent policies throughout their training. These policies establish the responsibilities and expectations of students regarding enrollment, attendance, communication, tuition and payments, program participation, testing, certification, completion of training, inactive status, and returning enrollment.

Students are responsible for reviewing, understanding, and complying with these policies throughout their enrollment.

1. Enrollment & Student Responsibility

Enrollment in a South Avionics Training Center program requires students to comply with the terms of their enrollment agreement, applicable payment agreement, and current school policies.

Students are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information with SATC and for communicating any circumstances that may affect their attendance, payments, or ability to continue training.

Enrollment in a program does not remain active indefinitely when a student stops attending, stops making required payments, or stops communicating with the school.

2. Attendance & Participation

Students are expected to attend and actively participate in their scheduled classes and training.

If a student expects to miss classes for an extended period, the student is responsible for contacting SATC as soon as reasonably possible to discuss available options.

Repeated or extended absences without communication may result in the student’s enrollment being placed on inactive status or discontinued.

Missed classes, laboratory activities, hands-on training, examinations, or other program requirements may need to be completed before a student is eligible for program completion.

3. Student Communication

Students are responsible for maintaining reasonable communication with SATC throughout their enrollment.

SATC may communicate with students by telephone, text message, email, WhatsApp, or other contact information provided by the student.

When SATC makes reasonable attempts to contact a student regarding attendance, payments, scheduling, or continuation of training and the student does not respond, SATC may consider the student inactive.

Failure to respond does not require SATC to maintain the student’s enrollment indefinitely.

4. Tuition & Payment Obligations

Students are responsible for paying tuition and other applicable charges according to their enrollment agreement or approved payment arrangement.

Participation in a payment plan does not eliminate the student’s responsibility to remain current with scheduled payments.

Students experiencing difficulty making a scheduled payment should contact SATC before the payment becomes seriously delinquent so that the school can determine whether any available options can be offered.

5. Missed Payment Plan Payments

A student who becomes delinquent on two scheduled payments under an approved payment plan may have training privileges suspended and may be placed on inactive status or dismissed from the program.

While an account is delinquent, SATC may restrict the student’s continued participation in classes, hands-on training, examinations, certification testing, or other school-sponsored program activities, to the extent permitted by applicable law and the student’s enrollment/payment agreements.

A student with an outstanding balance may also be ineligible to receive a SATC certificate of completion, diploma, or other completion credential until all applicable academic and financial requirements have been satisfied.

Payment arrangements or exceptions must be approved by SATC administration.

6. Inactive Students

A student may be considered inactive when the student:

– Stops attending scheduled training for an extended period;
– Stops communicating with SATC;
– Fails to respond to reasonable attempts by SATC to contact the student;
– Becomes substantially delinquent under an applicable payment agreement; or
– Otherwise stops participating in the program without making an approved arrangement with SATC.

Inactive status does not guarantee that the student’s original class schedule, tuition terms, payment arrangement, instructor, curriculum, or program availability will remain available.

7. Withdrawal or Abandonment of Training

Students who intend to discontinue training are expected to notify SATC.

A student who stops attending and fails to communicate with the school for an extended period may be considered to have abandoned the enrollment.

Abandonment of training does not automatically cancel outstanding financial obligations established under an enrollment or payment agreement.

8. Returning Students

SATC understands that circumstances may occasionally require a student to interrupt training.

Students wishing to return should contact SATC as soon as possible. The school will review the student’s previous enrollment, academic progress, account status, time away from the program, and current program requirements before determining available options.

Returning to training is not automatic and may require administrative approval.

9. Two-Year Limit on Previous Enrollment

A previous enrollment cannot remain open indefinitely.

A student who has been inactive or absent from a program for more than two years will not be permitted to simply resume training under the original enrollment.

After two years, a student wishing to return will generally be treated as a new enrollment and will be subject to the tuition, curriculum, program requirements, schedules, enrollment documents, and school policies in effect at the time of the new enrollment.

SATC is not obligated to preserve a previous student’s original tuition rate, class schedule, payment arrangement, program structure, or other enrollment terms indefinitely.

10. Previous Payments & Possible Credit

When a former student requests to return after an extended period, SATC may review documented payments from the student’s previous enrollment to determine whether any discretionary credit may be offered toward a new enrollment.

When historical payment information is not reasonably available to SATC, the student may be asked to provide documentation such as receipts, bank statements, credit/debit card statements, payment confirmations, or other acceptable proof of payment.

Any credit offered is determined on a case-by-case basis by SATC administration.

Previous payments do not automatically guarantee a refund, credit, reinstatement, or continuation of the previous enrollment.

Any approved credit will be applied according to the terms established by SATC for the new enrollment.

11. Testing & Certification Eligibility

Students must satisfy applicable academic, attendance, training, and financial requirements before participating in certain examinations, certification testing, or program-completion activities administered or sponsored by SATC.

Eligibility requirements may vary depending on the examination or certification provider.

SATC does not guarantee that a student will pass any third-party certification or licensing examination.

12. Certificates, Diplomas & Program Completion

A student must complete all applicable program requirements before receiving a SATC certificate of completion, diploma, or other school-issued completion credential.

Requirements may include:

– Required coursework;
– Required hands-on training;
– Required examinations or assessments;
– Required attendance or participation;
– Required documentation; and
– Satisfaction of applicable financial obligations.

Attendance alone does not constitute completion of a program.

13. Class Schedules & Program Changes

SATC may make reasonable changes to schedules, instructors, training locations, delivery methods, curriculum sequencing, equipment, or other operational aspects of a program when necessary.

SATC will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to affected students.

A schedule or instructional change does not automatically release a student from obligations under an enrollment agreement unless otherwise required by the applicable agreement or law.

14. Student Conduct

Students are expected to behave professionally and respectfully toward instructors, staff members, other students, visitors, and school property.

Unsafe, disruptive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, dishonest, or otherwise inappropriate conduct may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or dismissal.

Students participating in laboratory or hands-on training must follow all applicable safety instructions and procedures.

15. Refunds, Cancellations & Financial Agreements

Refunds, cancellations, withdrawals, and outstanding tuition obligations are governed by the student’s applicable enrollment agreement, payment agreement, and any refund/cancellation policy provided at enrollment, as well as applicable law.

Nothing on this webpage is intended to override rights or obligations established by an applicable signed agreement or governing law.

16. Student Records

SATC maintains student records in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and operational record-retention requirements.

The continued availability of historical records does not mean that a previous enrollment remains active or that a former student has an unlimited right to resume an old program.

Students requesting information concerning a previous enrollment may be required to provide sufficient identifying information so SATC can locate and verify the appropriate records.

17. Exceptions & Special Circumstances

SATC recognizes that unusual circumstances may occur.

Any exception, accommodation, payment arrangement, tuition credit, schedule adjustment, or authorization to return after an interruption must be approved by SATC administration.

An exception granted to one student does not establish a permanent policy or guarantee that the same exception will be available to another student.

18. Policy Updates

South Avionics Training Center reserves the right to revise or update these policies when necessary to reflect changes in school operations, programs, agreements, or applicable requirements.

Students will be subject to the policies and contractual terms applicable to their enrollment, and material changes will be handled in accordance with applicable agreements and law.
